Query Language

This text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. Please examine the following for examples.

Enter "game briefs" to find documents containing "game" or "briefs." Great for finding topics related to both games and underwear.

Enter "game OR briefs" to perform the same search as above.

Enter "game AND briefs" to locate documents containing both "game" and "briefs." This search would result in finding all documents containing the site name Game Briefs and any discussing those individuals who play games in their undies.

Enter "game NOT briefs" to find documents containing "game" but not "briefs." So, I guess you could search using this string to find documents about people who play games, but who don't necessarily wear underwear while doing so.

Enter "(briefs NOT game) AND clean" to locate documents containing "clean" and "briefs" but not "game." The resultant search should retrieve any documents that deal with wholesome news and clean undergarments.

Enter "gam*" to find documents containing words starting with "gam" as in game, gaming, gameplay, gambit, gameplan, gambusia, etc.
